Community Update : Week of May 13, 2019

We recognize the importance of communicating the district's vision with our stakeholders. At last week's District Parent Advisory meeting, Travis Collier, Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services, and I shared the Local Control Assessment Plan (LCAP) survey results and considered feedback on LCAP reductions that parents who were present at the meeting shared.

By attending school and district committees as well as board meetings, parents not only gain a better understanding of the district's vision and goals, but those meetings become a platform for valuable stakeholder input. As we strengthen partnerships with our community, it is critical to have the District & LCAP goals in mind:

    1. Increase Academic Achievement
    2. Ensure access and equity
    3. Improve Parent and Student Engagement
    4. Provide 21st Century Learning Environments
