State Preschool Welcomes Students Back!

We are excited to welcome back our first group of students into the LESD State Preschool classrooms this Monday, October 26.

With guidance from our “Safe. Clean. Ready!” Plan, we have prepared our classrooms, trained our staff and ensured that protecting the health of students and staff is our number one priority.

The Lawndale Elementary School District strives to provide a safe and clean environment that is ready for students, so let the learning begin!

You are invited to attend a GATE Parent Workshop, via Zoom, on Thursday, November 17th from 5:30 - 6:30 pm.

Mr. Travis Collier, Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services and Yvette Abatte, 21st Century Learning Coordinator will give updates on GATE testing and identification and resources for students.

In addition, Dr. Morgan Appel, Assistant Dean of Education and Community Outreach from UC San Diego Extension, will discuss the best practices for home learning.

Please take this short survey so that we can best tailor our meal services to suit the needs of our community.

ABC7 Comes to LESD

Recently, our Student Support Services health team provided over 700 flu vaccines to LESD students, parents and staff. We are so proud to do our part in keeping our community healthy so that they are ready to learn every day! ABC7 came out to cover the event, check out the video below.
